NY Vegetarian Food Festival

The NYC Vegetarian Food Festival was held on Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21, 2017 at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, from 11AM to 6 PM.

All these companies are helping abused animals with their products and rescue support.

It is wonderful to see more vegan options in restaurants and supermarkets. Just 1 year ago, it was difficult to find vegan milk. Now, half the milk isles are with multiple options of vegan milk. Much more funding, with venture capital is flooding the research market. A great example is PlantBased Solutions. Their goal is to “support the world with innovative plant-based products. Their focus includes food, packaging, health, beauty and fashion”. Other companies such as Ripple Foods that just came out with pea-protein milk, offers a great protein-based milk product that is also low in sugar. Many clothing companies are focusing their attention to creating clothing that is cruelty-free. They use no animals, nor exploit any animals in their creation of warm clothing. Great examples are Wully Outerwear and Will’s Vegan Shoes & Accessories Co., two of the exhibitors at the NYC Vegetarian Festival. Be Brilliant Bags offers cruelty-free hand bags. Companies offering cruelty-free cosmetics such as Derma-E and cleaning products such as Better Life are growing too.
